Blockbuster New Trailer For Pixels

It’s on like Donkey Kong in the new trailer for Pixels.

In the upcoming summer blockbuster, mankind finds itself on the brink of GAME OVER when an alien threat comes down to earth disguised as retro video game characters, including, yes, the barrel-hurling gorilla himself.

Naturally, humanity’s last hope falls to two nerdish heroes (Adam Sandler, Josh Gad) and a badass ‘80s arcade game champ clearly still living in the past (Game Of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage), with a steady stream of zingers, pop culture references and general downtown chaos suggesting it has plenty of Ghostbusters about it. Or that could be because of the Pac-Man bad guys?

Oh, and the visuals are brilliant. We dread to think how many coins were inserted into the budget.

Pixels lands in cinemas from 12 August
