Mark Wahlberg’s The Gambler Trailer

wahlberg.jpg

How’s this for a life-mantra? “A wise man’s life is based around ‘Fuck you’.”

John Goodman dishes out the advice to Mark Wahlberg in the first trailer for Paramount’s upcoming crime drama The Gambler.

The film, which is a remake of the 1974 movie starring James Caan, is directed by Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes director Rupert Wyatt. Wahlberg takes the lead role as a gambling-addicted literature professor, while Jessica Lange, Brie Larson and Michael K. Williams are also cast. Goodman appears as a cantankerous loan shark. Not that there's such a thing as an easy-going loan shark, we'd presume.

You can watch the trailer below.

The Gambler is due in the US this December, but not until May 1 in the UK
