The summer blockbuster season beckons and one of the biggest hitters has just unleashed a mammoth three minute trailer.

And now that we've seen this longer look at Man of Steel, we're even more convinced that it's going to be more Batman Begins than Green Lantern.

The chronology of the trailer follows Clark from a baby through to Superman without revealing too much of the plot. Which is a good thing, given the over-sharing displayed by other trailers.

We also get to see a bit more Zod and it looks as if Michael Shannon will definitely be giving Terence Stamp a run for his evil money.

What do you think? Will it be better than Superman Returns?

Man of Steel hits cinemas on June 14
