Anthony Hopkins is Alfred Hitchcock

hitchpics.jpg

As is the way in Hollywood, there's not just one Hitchcock biopic in the works but a couple, suggesting yet again that sometimes, movie producers actually like a challenge.

While Tinker Tailor star Toby Jones is starring alongside Sienna Miller in The Girl, Anthony Hopkins is starring alongside Helen Mirren for Hitchcock. We've already seen what Jones looks like as the big guy but yesterday, we've been given our first look at a radically transformed Hopkins.

As you can see, he makes for a mightily convincing Hitch. The film focuses on the relationship between the Master of Suspense and his wife while he shoots Psycho. Mirren will be playing his wife, Scarlett Johansson will be Janet Leigh while Jessica Biel and Toni Collette will also feature.

In the competing project The Girl, we'll see Hitchcock's obsessive relationship with Tippi Hedren as they filmed The Birds.

So what do you think? Does he look the part?

Hitchcock is set to be released next year.
