Andrew Hozier-Byrne, or just Hozier if you're friends (we are), has experienced a meteoric rise since the release of his stunning Take Me To Church last year.

It reached No.2 on the official chart in his native Ireland, and has continued to grow virally across the world in the time since, purely on account of it being brilliant: there are no gimmicks here.

We featured the follow-up, the equally excellent Sedated, on our song of the day feature The ShortListen in May and, following a full festival season, Take Me To Church receives a full UK release this week, ahead of the release of his self-titled album on October 6th.

We're delighted to be able to premiere a stunning outdoor acoustic version of a track taken from that album, called To Be Alone, which Hozier performed by an old castle in Wicklow, Ireland. If you're looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for five blissful minutes, then just click play below.
