Woman thought to be dead for 10 years is found living in internet café
23 November 2015

Earlier this week, police were called to an internet café in China's Zhejiang province.

A 24-year-old woman had been found sleeping on the floor of the store, apparently addicted to playing the online game CrossFire

When she presented her ID card, the police noticed it was fake - which is where things got weird.

On taking Xiaoyun (a name translating to ‘Little Cloud’) in for questioning, the police discovered she was actually presumed dead - having been missing for ten years.

The story emerged that Little Cloud had run away from home at the age of 14 following an argument with her mother. Since then she'd eked out an existence sleeping in internet cafés, playing CrossFire and surviving on handouts from café owners.

Her parents had filled a missing persons report, but given up hope of ever seeing their daughter again. "I’ve dreamed of her coming home countless times," her mother told a local paper.

They've since vowed to never argue again.

Here's hoping we never go up against her in CrossFire - we'd guess after 10 years she's pretty handy.
