One of the most tiresome features of 2015 was having to listen to the increasingly ludicrous and offensive ramblings of Donald Trump as he battles to secure the Republican nomination to run for President later this year.
An unfortunate byproduct of his speeches and statements were that they were so controversial that they generated a host of publicity - something which is almost certainly a deliberate tactic, saving him from running a single paid advertisement until recently.
Which meant that we all had to sieve through news outlets reporting and discussing him until the cows came home, obscuring all the content that we actually want to find, like cats and Star Wars (to be fair, we didn't have to look too far for the latter).
But now help is at hand, with the amazing Trump Filter for the Chrome browser, which promises to erase Donald from your internet.
The brainchild of Rob Spectre, it comes with three levels of sensitivity (unlike the man himself) - mild, aggressive and vindictive.
"I am doing this out of a profound sense of annoyance and patriotic duty," says Spectre. He adds that he is not making any money from it, "nor was I put up to this by the Republican or Democratic Parties, the Obama Administration, my mother or any other possible sphere of influence."
Sadly, there are limitations. One of the FAQ asks, "Can I delete him from television too?", to which the answer is: "Tragically, Trump Filter cannot be installed on your television. However, we hope that enough installs will be a strong signal to the international media that America is ready to move on from this inveterate jackass."
