Some people are already queuing for the iPhone 6S

Ten days.

That's the average amount of time to pass between Apple announcing a new iPhone and the handset reaching their Apple store shelves.

And it's the period of time that some Apple obsessives are set to spend in a queue outside Sydney's flagship store - for a product that hasn't even been announced yet.

CNET Australia's editor Seamus Byrne was passing by the Sydney store when he noticed the tent - set up in anticipation of tonight's "Hey Siri" event, at which Apple is expected to announce a range of new products including an iPhone 6S, larger iPad and revamped Apple TV.

Given Australia's relative position in time zones, this eager fan will most likely be the first in the world to pocket the new... well, whatever they're queuing for.

We don't understand the world any more.
