Meet the woman taking the most death defying selfies on Instagram

If you’re on the internet – and let’s face it, you are – you’re probably a Millennial. And if you’re a Millennial, there’s nothing you love more than relaxing on Instagram. Settling into your feed is like a non-Millennial gently lowering themselves into a hot bath, scrolling down the soothing pictures of your friends’ meals and their visits to the park, and their cute dogs and themselves, precariously perched on some girders above a sheer drop…

If your Millennial friend is the Russian Instagrammer Angela Nikolau, then you’ll be very familiar with the vertigo-inducing snaps of herself casually loitering next to certain death as if she were beside a pool.

Angela has snapped herself balancing on nausea-worthy, life insurance-voiding ledges from Moscow to Hong Kong, narrowly avoiding cemeteries and amassing over 150,000 followers along the way. Which just goes to show the quickest, surest way to social media stardom is to do the sort of stuff that would make Evel Knievel blanch in horror.
