The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game actually looks ace
26 January 2016

Back in 1989, something quite extraordinary happened.

Konami managed to make a video game based on a TV show that was actually better than the TV show

An instant triumph on the NES, Amiga and other consoles of the day, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles took the beloved characters of the comic-turned-cartoon series and matched them perfectly to a scrolling action combat game. It was a feat seldom repeated (see The Lion King and Aladdin).

Some 28 years on, and PlatinumGames (creators of the downright bewildering Bayonetta series) are promising to repeat the trick - with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan.

The game will centre on manic combo chains and team moves, as you combine the skills of the four heroes to unleash finishing moves worthy of a celebratory lap of the living room.

Please, PlatinumGames - don't mess this up.
