It looks like we know where GTA VI is going to be set

Will it be back to the '80s once more?

It looks like we know where GTA VI is going to be set
06 March 2018

If you’re a fan of stealing cars, dealing drugs and murdering innocents, then you’ll probably like the Grand Theft Auto games, or the GTA games, as those ‘in the know’ call them. As of 2018, there has been a total of 15 games in the series, and this is showing no sign of slowing down - there’s money to be made, son.

But where, oh where, will the next one be set? That’s the question on everyone’s thumbs, ain’t it?

A question, that will soon be answered, by me, on this website. For GTA VI is going to be set in… Vice City. Again.

It’s all rumours so far, but they point to the game taking place ‘in or around Miami’ with a couple of missions requiring the player to fly to South America, too. But that’s not all your gossip for today, because get this: the most important change to the series will be the introduction of a female lead character - something the game hasn’t offered since its beginnings over 20 years ago.

Here’s some more info on the upcoming game:

Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, so everything could change and you might end up playing as a tortoise or something, but there’s no smoke without fire, right? Either way, drug running, country-hopping, boats and planes, and a tentative 2021/2 release date (that’s ages, ugh) equals exciting stuff, I think you’ll agree.

If you can’t be arsed to wait, then at least you’ve got Red Dead Redemption 2 heading your way imminently - you can say hello to that big boy in October. What fun. WHAT DELIRIOUS FUN.
