World’s First Portable Tap House

Why go out to a bar when you bring the bar to you?

Shooting pool? Perhaps. Inferior karaoke? Definitely. But if the only reason is because of a wide choice of ale selection straight from a keg, well, this may be set to change.

Meet the SYNEK, the world’s first portable tap house, born out of the rise of craft beer across the US as much as man's insatiable appetite for all things geeky and compact. And the mastermind who brought it all together? An inventor known as Steve Young, pending a transatlantic knighthood.

Using vacuum-sealed cartridges which can keep up to a gallon of the sweet nectar fresh for 30 days plus, you’ll not only have your choice of a range of your favourite brews at the touch of a button but also be able to check and adjust the temperature accordingly.

Admit it, we bet you’ve not been as excited about a household drinks machine since you got a Soda Stream kit for Christmas and only used it once.

One thing you should note: to have a better chance of picking up one of the machines when makers hope it launches in 2015, it’s worth donating some money to the firm’s Kickstarter fund, with pre-orders starting from £230. Take a closer look below.
