Ah the Rubik's Cube. The very embodiment of idol hands, the height of time-wasting puzzles. Or so we thought.

Introducing the Marusenko Sphere, the latest puzzle to role into town looking to claim the Rubik's crown. This Spanish toy consists of 54 pieces, able to move and slide around each other in nine ways. While the Rubik's Cube was a one-trick pony, the various colour combinations the Marusenko Sphere is available in provide five different levels of difficulty.

The key to this new puzzle lies in its production method: built using a 3D printer, it uses no adhesives or child-choking small parts.

There are ten colour schemes available, each one capable of absorbing the remaining hours of your free time. You can pick one up here.
