Say hello to the future of mobile gaming (depending on your Wi-Fi connection, obviously).

In the crowded halls of Berlin's IFA tech fair, Sony has shown off its latest tablet entry: the Xperia Z3 tablet touts an eight inch HD screen, extra-long battery life (13 hours of video playback is not to be sniffed at) and the fanciest gaming trick of any mobile device out there.

PlayStation 4 owners will be able to hook their console up to the Z3 tablet via the system's Remote Play function. If your TV is busy, grab your DualShock4 controller, connect up the console via Wi-Fi and game away. Sony has also created a neat game control mount to make it a more hand-held friendly experience. The feature also appears on Sony's new Z3 smartphones - though we imagine playing a PS4 game on a five inch screen would be something of an eyeball drain.

Set to arrive in mobile retailers in the coming months, we doubt you'll find us out of our rooms for most of the winter.
