Social network that encourages drinking

*Updated: Fortunately, Livr is a well-made hoax*

Introducing Livr, the social media app concept that only lets you log on when you can prove you've had a few to drink.

The idea of Livr sees users accessing the online community and social games by first blowing into a breathalyser smartphone attachment. Various features will only become accessible once your blood alcohol levels reach set heights.

Features include 'Truth or Dare', which allows you to set challenges for other Livr uses, while 'Drunk Dial' lets you call other users in the area to arrange which bar you should drain next. The 'Blackout' mode helpfully erases your night's potentially embarrassing content the next morning, or let you share your wild antics with the wider world.

Thankfully, Livr is little more than an idea. Gizmodo revealed that one of the 'founders' is actually US comedian Matt Mayer, and thus the app and subsequent video little more than well-edited gag. No further information on Livr is yet to emerge, as to whether it links to a wider comedy project or if it's just a bit of fun.
