Got an Android phone? Good - this won't work on the iPhones of the muggle crowd.

Open up your Google Assistant or 'Okay Google' feature. We'll wait...

Now, in your clearest tones, say "Lumos", and your phone should do this.

Say "Nox" and your mobile light will turn itself off. Try "Silencio" and your notifications should get muted.

Yep. Magic on your mobile.

Sure, it's a gimmick to support the new Harry Potter spin-off film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - but it's a neat illustration of Google's latest voice recognition trickery.

Yet more Harry Potter-themed tricks will arrive with Google's virtual reality headset, Daydream View, with the Fantastic Beasts game app.
