The Vivid Adidas Originals Settend SPZL

The trainer market is getting a touch rowdy of late. Whether it's Kanye West whipping the internet into a frenzy over a boot, or Nike releasing yet another summer model, it's an arduous task trying to keep up with the seemingly endless run of new technologies and tweaked models.

Which is why its refreshing to see Adidas Originals restore an old gem, without a scrap of woven, breathable fabric in sight.

Part of the SPEZIAL collaboration with Gary Aspden, the Settend SPZL takes a 70s build and gives it a fresh lick of blue suede, punctuated by red stripes and yellow piping atop a gum sole.

Will they cool your feet down with a high-tech pump heel system? No, but they'll still look good in another ten years. You can pick up a pair for £79 from Hanon when they arrive on 4 April.
