Puma collab with New York DJ Bobbito Garcia for slick suede trainers

With Rick Owens' head-scratching adidas collab and Reebok's mind-boggling rainbow pixel trainers touching down recently, it's nice to see some timeless footwear hit the shops in the form of Puma's new collaboration with New York DJ and trainer enthusiast, Bobbito Garcia.

The critically acclaimed author of Where’d You Get Those?New York City’s Sneaker Culture: 1960- 1987 has worked on two classic Puma shoes, the Clyde and the Suede Mid, which both look clean cut and classic with their premium textures and sleek silhouettes inspired by the Big Apple's history of avant-garde streetwear and basketball culture.

Both shoes have gold embossed phrases on them, the Mid Suedes highlighting Bobbito's book title Where'd You Get Those?, where as the Clyde Lows have Guard Up on its side.

The PUMA X Bobbito collaboration is due for release 13 August at End Clothing, Foot Patrol, Hanon, Well Gosh, 5 Pointz and Chimp store. The Clyde will cost £80 and the Suede Mid £90.
