Anyone who buys Nike's latest Air Max Lunar1 is going to spend the majority of their time looking at their feet for two reasons.
Firstly, because they're exceptionally good-looking: the no-sew upper mesh of the Photo Blue colourway is a gorgeous blend of urban grey, blues and blacks - and that's before you even notice the delicately speckled Air-Sole.
But the foremost reason for ankle-gazing isn't due to the aesthetics - it's to remind yourself you did actually put them on. The Lunarlon midsole and Air-Sole units give the shoe a super lightweight construction, making it 28 percent lighter than the decidedly slender Air Max models.
Available for £105 from Nike, you won't be able to blame "heavy shoes" for your slow 5K time any more.
