Nike SB’s Beach Print Zoom

Like Mogwai and late night snacking, skateboards just weren't made with sand in mind.

Not that we’re any less impressed by Nike SB’s latest skate shoe from the range’s Stefan Janoski model - Jonoski being the designer behind such eminent alt-kicks as Tiger Strip and Digital Floral – which takes its cues from the beach.

Near imposing a bird’s eye view of a crowded shoreline onto the canvas, the shoes are doused with enough towels, sun shades, parasols and bikes (lots and lots of bikes) to have you hankering to grab a towel and go and hit the beach as soon as humanly possible.

Crushingly, the only downside - apart from there not being a skate park in sight on the colourful pattern - is that they’re only going to be available in Japan from Kinetics.

Given the appeal, however, a European release of these beach kicks can’t be too far away. We’re, er, shore of it.
