Now is a season for socks, thicker socks and a sturdy pair of boots - not a pair of lightweight, open-panelled trainers. But when they look as good as Nike's new Huarache Premium, there's no time for practicalities.
A modern iteration of Tinker Hatfield's trainer that soared to fame in 1991, the Premium re-release is a patchwork of panelled leather and blue suede. An orange neoprene (a stretchy, breathable fabric) sock sits in the centre of the shoe, cocooning your foot with a great deal more comfort than the 90's original.
Additional flares include a neoprene arching midstrap, emblazoned with Nike lettering. The familiar swoosh only finds inclusion in a muted outline on the heel. Complete with an Air sole, these will be one of the most comfortable - if impractically cold - trainers of the winter.
