03 August 2014

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's already August - which means the shorts, flip flops and sunglasses will soon be lost in the recesses of your wardrobe and exchanged for coats and jumpers . Thankfully, these exceptionally cool (but warm) Converse leather trainers make that an easier trade to stomach.

Part of the label's line up for autumn/winter 2014 is this rather tasty collaboration with Jack Purcell, featuring three reworkings of familiar Converse footwear.

The Converse Jack Purcell Cross Stitch switches out the usual canvas material of the low cut trainer for soft tumbled leather, with added details of blue Jack Purcell stitching on the tongue and square waxed cotton laces.

The Converse Jack Purcell ox has been kitted out for winter weather, featuring a brushed textile upper with a tight, water-resistant weave designed for winter wear - all sitting on a comfortable cork bed.

Our favourite pick of the collection is the Converse Jack Purcell Mid, updated with a soft milled leather. Featuring waxed round laces, aluminum eyelets and a moulded cork foot bed, the Jack Purcell smile sneaks onto the toe cap.

Currently available in the US and soon to make their UK appearance, you can find out more about the collaboration here.
