Nike bring back yet another classic trainer from their archive

I think I speak for everyone when I say: "bloody hell"

Nike bring back yet another classic trainer from their archive
07 December 2017

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that the Swoosh lads are at it again. Nike have reached their long arms into their considerable archive and have brought back the Pantheos, a silhouette first introduced in 1993.

Coming back in navy, silver, and black colourways as well as a very fetching, very Seinfeld-ian off-white/light grey/hot pink variant, the Nike Pantheos (RRP a very reasonable £64.99) features features the neoprene upper and suede panels of the original with an updated, extra cushion-y midsole. That’s a good thing. Everyone loves a retro trainer but if you’ve ever tried one on you’ll know that it basically feels like standing on cardboard. Honestly, how the hell did trainers catch on with those dead-ass soles? I tried one on once and it would’ve genuinely would’ve been more comfortable to strap a notebook to my foot. But anyway, this baby’s alright: cushioned and comfy with a padded sock-lining and tongue.

Our favourite thing about the Pantheos? While it has a cult rep among Nike fans, it’s not a Big Name shoe, which means that unlike the 97s you i) won’t see every fucker on the high street in them and ii) you might actually be able to get a pair without queuing up in the rain like a wally.
