It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a few quid, must be in want of a new jacket. We’ve got just the thing.
American outfitters J. Crew have got a jacket that caught our eye and now, thanks to it going on sale, it has a mouthwatering price tag. For £109 (while stocks last, of course), the Wallace & Barnes chore blazer is lovely bit of deconstructed menswear – the sort of thing we all used to enjoy before skateboarding took over – and, as they say in the product copy, manages to combine “the ruggedness of workwear and the refinement of tailoring” to great effect.
It also comes in blue and sand colours, but for us, the muted olive hue is the real winner here. Featuring a notch lapel instead of a regular chore jacket collar, the piece can be dressed up or down with ease: with jeans and a plain grey sweatshirt over a white oxford if you’re going to the pub or with a shirt and tie and khaki chinos if you’re going to some sort of safari-themed wedding. Don’t miss your chance and then start pissin’ and moanin’ about how you’ve got nothing to wear over the party season, alright?
