Mother Nature has a fight on her hands…

New innovations to battle hair loss

Joni Mitchell once sang, “You don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone.” Sadly, with hair loss, this is painfully true — the evidence of what you once had ending up in combs and plugholes. And often much sooner than you hoped.

Thankfully, science is doing its best to resist fibrous shedding, and two new products have joined the fight: the Kérastase Homme Anti-Hair Loss Roller and the Lab Series Skincare For Men Root Power Restorative Style Wax.

The Kérastase Roller, picture 1, (£25.90 for 30ml) resembles a precise roll-on deodorant, with its bulb stimulating circulation while distributing its contents, which counter the over-production of hair loss-causing hormones and strengthen the roots.

Lab Series’ Root Power Restorative Style Wax, picture 2, (£19 for 50ml) works alongside a restorative shampoo (£26 for 250ml) and a hair tonic (£27 for 200ml), collectively helping to strengthen and improve your vulnerable filaments.

Of course, both products come with a caveat: if your genes have destined your hair to leave you, there’s nothing you can do to prevent it. However, these products can help repair the damage caused by accelerants and aggravators, such as hormones, UV rays, stress and pollution, allowing you to appreciate what you’ve got, while you’ve got it.
