adidas Consortium unveil new EQT collab made from furniture leather
17 May 2017

adidas Consortium’s very well-received EQT ranger has gotten a bit of a pick-me-up thanks to a collab with ace German store Avenue. Featuring an upper made of aniline leather – gear often used to upholster luxury furniture – the unisex EQT 93/16 Support trainers in tan with black detailing and black with tan detailing.

We’re dead into them. EQT has always been one of adidas’ most underrated shoes: first introduced by adidas marketing guru Robert Strasser and sneaker design icon Peter Moore who wanted an alternative to eighties gimmickry, the EQT was their "no-bullshit" approach to trainers. Simple, functional, and very comfortable, they were designed for performance even if you didn't need them in that setting, and the original shoes have gone on to become a perennial favourite with adi collectors.

The Avenue x adidas Consortium EQT 93/16 Comfort is available from Avenue from 27th May and from other adidas Consortium retailers from 3 June.
