The watch with a hand for every minute

Our poor watch. So helpful and so reliable yet always living in the shadow of a parade of shiny new timepieces we see launched on a daily basis.

Today, it will be mainly envious of this eye-popping creation which boasts a series of 59 moving ticks to represent minutes and a collection of pop-out triangles for the hours.

It takes a fair bit of understanding but the video below does a pretty fine job and works well as simple watch porn.

It's called an Opus XIII and comes from the watch legends at Harry Winston. There will be just 130 available and since it has a limited amount of power, you'll need to use a watch winder every day or so.

Which might make our watch feel a bit better.
