Given her fondness for stray safety pins and general anarchic aesthetic, you could be forgiven for adopting some lofted eyebrows upon learning that Vivienne Westwood is currently dismantling five staples of British craftsmanship.

Happily though, it’s for good effect, with the iconic Gloverall duffel coat, Johnstons Of Elgin cashmere, James Lock hats and Pantherella socks all benefitting from a faithful overhaul as part of the designer’s latest range.

The pick of the bunch, however, is the Globe-Trotter luggage. Available in elegant cream and midnight blue, the print utilises that infamous squiggle first seen in Westwood’s 1981 Pirate collection and, in both senses, that’s the

sort of bootlegging we can get behind.
