Working Airplane Appears On Airbnb
18 November 2014
Now we know why they call it Airbnb…

In arguably the most interesting posting since the birth of the social networking hotel service, Dutch airline KLM has now got in on the act and is offering people the chance to spend a night inside an airplane refurbished as a luxury apartment, parked next to one of Europe’s busiest runways.

Don't worry, the aviation giants aren't merely feeling the squeeze of the financial climate and attempting to ring some extra change from its customers and fleet, but rather blazing a trail in the world of marketing stunts.

Available for only three nights in late November (28, 29, 30) at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, the blue and white jet, which has 3675 global journeys on the clock, comes with all the mod-cons you’d expert of a modern apartment: spacious living room, master bedroom, two children’s beds, kitchen, Wi-Fi, coffeemaker and, erm, 116 windows.

To be in with a chance of bagging the experience, simply go online, contact host and tell them why and with whom you would like to come.

Oh, and pets aren't allowed - and that includes snakes.
