Watching A Giant Water Balloon Burst In Slo-Mo Is Strangely Satisfying

There was a time when broadcasters dreamt of the possibility of super slow motion camera technology. High definition images were a distant fantasy, and digital was a confusing science that no one quite understood. 

Now, that once-fantastical camera technology is being used to film stuff blowing up, falling over, ripping apart and exploding in 4K detail. And it's glorious.

The latest clip of silliness from YouTube hitmakers The Slow Mo Guys sees Gavin Free and Daniel Gruchy fill up a giant water balloon (in which Gruchy is sitting) to the point of bursting. 

Is there a deeper point to this extravagant act, demonstrating the capacities of a 4K camera? No. It just looks great.
