OK, so they weighed as much as a sack of cement, made more noise than a tap-dancing octopus and there was no 'delete' button, but typewriters had an undeniable beauty and charm far above their modern day replacement, the computer.

And this fantastic poster celebrates that, packing in over 100 years' worth of essential models, ranging from a Hammon in 1870 to the Smith Coronas of the 20th century.
