VIDEO: Back to the Future goes silent

Marty and the Doc got up to some extensive time-travelling, but they never went far enough back to need title cards.

So what would the 1980s sci-fi classic look like if it if it was filmed at the turn of the century? It is, of course, the question that drives us all insane with curiosity.

Thankfully, crafty YouTuber techsavvyed has answered this burning question with his expert silent adaptation of the third film.

Featuring the obligatory train hurtling towards a cliff, the video condenses Marty’s adventure into less than three minutes of sepia shots, title cards and jaunty music. The video is part of a project to turn modern classics into silent-era films, so if you liked The Artist then watch this space.
