One good rule of thumb for journalism: never make the story about yourself. Unhappily for Josh Taylor, a reporter from Florida’s WTXL-ABC 7 news channel, however, it seems he didn't have much of a choice recently, watching on as a supposed felon jumped into his car and drove off.

Interviewing Jean Price as part of a piece on property scams in Sarasota, Florida, late last week, Taylor's probing questions clearly didn't go down well with his interviewee as Price decided to fold up the news-hound’s tripod, put it in the backseat of his car and then, going one better, hijack his vehicle.

The stunt was swiftly followed by an arrest on charges of alleged Grand Theft Auto. Fortunately for Taylor, his car was recovered nearby; and fortunately for us, he kept the camera rolling. The bizarre footage can be seen below.
