Danny Dyer, Robbie Williams, Sean Ryder, Dan Aykroyd, there' s a huge list of unusual people that believe in extraterrestrial life, and now you can add ex-Blink 182 frontman Tom DeLonge to the list of enthusiasts, as he's been in discussion with Hillary Clinton's campaign about UFOs.

In leaked emails written to Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta, DeLonge discusses the sensitive topic of UFO research:

“Tom DeLonge here, The one who interviewed you for that special documentary not to long ago.

Things are moving with the project. The Novels, Films and NonFiction works are blooming and finishing. Just had a preliminary meeting with Spielberg’s Chief Operating Officer at DreamWorks. More meetings are now on the books-

I would like to bring two very “important” people out to meet you in DC. I think you will find them very interesting, as they were principal leadership relating to our sensitive topic. Both were in charge of most fragile divisions, as it relates to Classified Science and DOD topics. Other words, these are A-Level officials. Worth our time, and as well the investment to bring all the way out to you. I just need 2 hours from you. Just looking to have a casual, and private conversation in person.”

It seems like the pop punk musician reached out to Podesta because he has advocated for the release of the "UFO Files" to the public, something that Clinton has said she would do if elected, as long as it didn't effect national security. He's also commented to CNN that: "The U.S. government could do a much better job in answering the quite legitimate questions that people have about what’s going on with unidentified aerial phenomena."

It's not clear what Podesta and Tom have spoken about in their scheduled meeting (that's right, they actually agreed to meet...what a coffee that would've been), but it is said to involve discussions around General McCasland, a man that DeLonge claims was in charge of the laboratory where the supposed covered up Roswell UFO was sent to.

We didn't really need another reason for Hillary to win, but this just tops it off.

This isn't a new venture for Tom DeLonge, as finding out the truth about UFOs is the main reason he left Blink 182 earlier this year, citing a camping trip to Groom Lake (about 200 miles away from Area 51) as a catalyst to the decision of researching alien life seriously in an interview with Billboard:

"I woke up right around three a.m. My whole body felt like it had static electricity, and I open my eyes and the fire is still going, and there's a conversation going on outside the tent. It sounded like there were about 20 people there, talking. And instantly my mind goes, OK, they're at our campsite, they're not here to hurt us, they're talking about shit, but I can't make out what they're saying. But they're working on something. Then I close my eyes and wake up, and the fire is out and I have about three hours of lost time."

He's also created a multimedia brand called Sekret Machines, focusing on alien content such as animated movies and novels as well as space themed merch, where he's received inside knowledge from ex-military and engineers, which has led to his phone being tapped and intelligence following him.

Nice to see he's keeping busy. Johnny Borrell should really sack off Razorlight for good and hunt trolls, that's where the real action is.
