“Now that it’s over I can say it was cool, but during the whole process of it happening I was not cool at all.” These are the words that only a teenager could use to describe almost being struck by lightning. 

That teen in question is 16-year-old Ethan Riozzi-Bodine, a beach bro who was caught in a thunderstorm whilst walking home from his job as a lifeguard at Bradley Beach, NJ, in the good old US of A.

What did he do? You know what he did. He whipped out his phone and filmed the whole thing. Because teenagers. Because 2016. Because the future? Forget it. Doomed.

Still, we're pretty glad he did, as it makes for quite incredible viewing experience. Ethan managed to capture a massive bolt hitting the ground just feet from where he was stood. He says the only thing that saved him was the fact that he was holding his bike, with the rubber acting as a safeguard. Which is at least half of an almost good idea. Check out the video below.
