Remind you of Tony Stark’s cliff-gripping mega mansion? Take a further glance at this concept from Australian architecture firm Modscapes and its detailing would put even Iron Man to shame.

Taking the term sea-view to the next level, the overhanging design, conjured up after a brief from a couple who wanted a holiday home on the south-west coast of Victoria, is a five-storey modular home where entry is made via a carport on the top floor.

From here a lift connects residents with all of the living spaces, with the overall shape of the home meant to resemble barnacles clinging to a hull of a ship, hence why you'll find it hanging over the cliff edge as opposed to sitting on top of it.

Interestingly, it’s just the latest new-age blueprint made in response to a growing number of wealthy young buyers keen to explore design options for living on extreme shoreline sites across Australia, and clearly looks to be some way of being a tangible structure.

After all, we imagine the home insurance would cost more than the home itself.
