The Piano Watch Concept

The Piano Watch Concept

The Piano Watch Concept
26 August 2014

This special watch should strike a chord if it’s ever brought to market.

Taking inspiration from the grand piano, this minimalist wrist-piece, dubbed the Glissando, purports to tell the time in one of the most unique ways possible.

Gone are the chronographs, gone are the date time and other conventional clutter - what remains is a button in the centre, acting as the hour hand; a special display running around the rim of the dial for the second hand, and a fetching row of keys which represent the minutes, individually raised to mimic musical waves.

Call us shallow, but the looks alone are enough for us to hope start-up designer Han Huynh gets the relevant backing to produce this beauty for the masses.

Now that really would be music to our ears.
