The perfume you can swallow

Unless you're willing to spend more money on a fragrance than you do on your monthly food needs, the initial burst of freshness from your budget scent is likely to wear off before you've been able to impress anyone but yourself.

Eager to right this wrong, and also to make a shedload of cash, "body architect" (?!) Lucy McRae is working on a perfume capsule that you swallow and then enables your skin to emit a genetically unique scent. The potency is determined by a number of factors, including stress, temperature and sexual arousal.

It's currently in the research phase with a capsule being developed that hopes to release perfume in the same way as we release sweat. Which means that public transport at rush-hour will now become a distractingly fragrant experience.
