The Oil Tanker Mega Yacht

The Oil Tanker Mega Yacht

The Oil Tanker Mega Yacht

Given his love for a good nickname and mega yacht, something tells us P Diddy would be intrigued by the Imāra, a proposed ship setting a new classification for yacht sizes well beyond superyacht and gigayacht.

For the Imāra is a YachtMax. Designed by Austrian yacht design studio Motion Code: Blue and spanning 918ft in length, it’s a concept that takes its cue from a 280m SuezMax tanker platform, making it, potentially, the world’s largest yacht.

The designers had been tasked with transforming the image of used oil tankers while offering Middle Eastern moneymen a subliminal route to swanking about their national resources.

11 decks and a beam of 57m would make any real version of this a nautical game-changer, and of course cramming even more helipads than we’ve come to expect of luxury liners.

Then again, you’d need a helicopter just to get from one side of this yacht to the other if it's ever made.
