The NYPD Is Using Road House As A Training Video
25 February 2015
We wouldn't want to be a felon in New York City right about now.

Road House

In the scene – one of the few which doesn't involve a bar brawl and someone’s head being smashed through an array of glasswork, and where everyone's throats are fine - Swayze’s self-appointed ‘cooler’ stands in front of his bouncers to list three simple rules: 1) never underestimate your opponent, 2) take it outside unless it’s absolutely necessary, and 3) be nice.

With some 20,000 rookie officers going through the strict training programme, we can only imagine the palpable air of emotion that rises when this clip’s brought out -  those unspoken woops, hands kept tightly under thighs to avoid air punching, and missed high fives.

Looks like we’re not the only ones crazy for Swayze. Though whether the traditional blue NYPD uniform will be changed in favour of slack denim and ripped t-shirts remains to be seen.
