Topping off the amazing events of the past few months is the very first International Goldfish Championships, which is taking place in Fuzhou, in China's Fujian Province.
More than 3,000 ornamental fish are competing for prizes in 12 categories. Hotly tipped for the heaviest goldfish gong is a 1.5kg streaky sulfur goldfish, presented by Wang Zhangliang from Zhangzhou, China.
Insiders have also put forward a 36cm long Black lion-head goldfish as a possible winner for the the longest goldfish title.
