Sorry Mum but we've found a new favourite Christmas dinner. And yes, it involves a burger.

The awe-inspiring meat experts at Hawksmoor have only gone and made a Christmas burger. A Christmas burger.

While the thought alone is enough to occupy one long constant daydream, the reality is earth-shattering. We know as we went and tried it for ourselves.

First, let's get down to the specifics. The burger contains the following: deep fried butter milk turkey, a sausage patty, spiced cranberry ketchup, caramelised onions, crispy smoked streaky bacon, cabbage and Ogleshield cheese in a brioche bun. Oh and it's served with crispy roast potatoes.

It's a monstrous meal and one which left us feeling full until the morning after. But boy was it worth it. Cramming all of the greatest parts of a Christmas dinner into one burger is an ambitious task and by focusing on making each one work independently, it's a rousing success.

Choosing cranberry ketchup over cranberry sauce means the sweetness never overwhelms the other flavours while the batter on the turkey never feels greasy or too thick. The worrying result is that you'll probably want to eat the whole thing. And then need a run home to get rid of all that guilt.

Mum, you're fired.

The Christmas Burger is currently available at Hawksmoor Seven Dials, 11 Langley Street, London WC2H 9JG
