For acts of unspeakable horror, sometimes there are no words. As was seen yesterday following the terror attacks in Belgium, when the world was plunged into yet another period of mourning, where no official statement could suffice and do justice to the anger and disappointment that resonated among the masses.

Instead, it was left to artists to offer the smallest of comforts to those affected, their work both summing up the futility of terror while lauding the proud history of a nation in mourning.

It won't stop the bigger problems, but they do illustrate hope for humanity yet.
