The BBC has uploaded 40 hours of 'Planet Earth' footage to help you relax
21 July 2017

Whether you’re a big Planet Earth fan or you’re just in need of some hardcore relaxation, you’ll probably be extremely pleased to hear that the BBC has uploaded FORTY HOURS of ambient Planet Earth sounds for you to listen to.

In four 10-hour videos, calming sounds from the mountains, islands, desert and jungle are played over equally calming video footage of stunning natural scenery.

They’re part of the BBC’s  Earth Unplugged channel – which aims to “reveal amazing animal facts, share the latest wildlife news and leave you breathless with our beautiful slow motion videos” – and their Real Happiness Project

“A new study from BBC Earth and the University of California, Berkeley has revealed that watching nature documentaries can make you happier, so we’re on a mission to bring real happiness to as many people as possible by improving their connection to the natural world,” the team write. The project also includes a ‘Happybot’, which sends you personalised nature messages via a Facebook Messenger bot.

So if you’re feeling frazzled, want to drown out the sound of your colleagues’ typing or you just fancy a bit of escapism, check out the videos below.
