The Apache Racer Bike

The Apache Racer Bike

The Apache Racer Bike
10 July 2014

Move over Raleigh Street Wolf - it may have taken a few decades but now there's bicycle with a cooler name on the scene.

It’s the Apache Racer, emulating its warrior-like mantle with more than a hint of rustic and aggressive aesthetic, and like that BMX bad-boy of yesteryear, it's sure to be coveted by the masses.

Forged by Antoine Hotermans of McFly Customs over in Belgium, the fixed-speed racer has been stripped down to almost X-rated proportions, favouring curves in all the places you wouldn’t expect and taking direct influence from vintage Café Racer motorcycles.

Not that you should do any racing, what with a big space where the brakes should be - a design flaw we'll take with a pinch of salt as just walking with the bike would be enough to make you feel like the Fonz.

Indeed, it’s a bold, fearsome piece, which currently stands at a number of, well, one. So until Hotermans starts making them for mass consumption, we'll be dusting off our Street Wolf.
