A Swedish politician reckons we should all be paid to go home and fuck during work

Afternoon bang breaks – that’s what this Swedish politician reckons we should all be doing.

He thinks it’d be beneficial for all of our relationships if we popped home during the afternoon at work, paid, got our ends away for and bit and then strutted back into the office an hour later feeling all chirpy and full of ourselves, hopefully in a change of pants.

It sounds like a pretty great idea, doesn’t it? We all know abut the proven health benefits of sex too, things like lower blood pressure and preventing illnesses, so we might even be more productive for these mini midday sex festivals.

The man behind the idea is Per-Erik Muskos, a 42-year-old councilor for Övertorneå in northern Sweden, and you’d bet any money he absolutely loves the sex, wouldn’t you, the horny fucker.

"It's about having better relationships. There are studies that show sex is healthy,” he told the AFP.

Though he also admitted: “You can't guarantee that a worker doesn't go out for a walk instead.”

Muskos really could be on to something here, there’s a decent chance you could breeze through those last few hours of work high on endorphins, meaning you’d actually get something useful done between the hours of 4 and 5pm for once.

It’s no surprise that he’s Swedish either, the Swedes absolutes love an excuse to do a bit less work. They’ve already experimented with six-hour work days and work 9% less than people in the average country, according to OECD data.

While Muskos sees “no reason” why his idea couldn’t become law in Sweden, it feels a little less likely that Theresa May might be up for letting us fuck our afternoons away over here.
