Slick typeface morphs flags into letters

We thought we should flag up this nice piece of design work for you. Mainly so we could use that pun.

When advertising agency Greys sought an international signage tool for use in their new Singaporean offices, they turned to designer Luis Fabra. His answer? A multinational typeface of 106 letters, one for each of the markets Greys operates in, constructed out of an abstract interpretation of that country's flag.

The results are bold, colourful geometric type that push your knowledge of international flags to its limits. Some letters have multiple versions (M and N are teaming with entries), while lowly X is left grey.

You can check out all 106 letters in the following mesmerising GIF.
