As the man who all but reinvented the televisual wheel with The Office, it won’t surprise you too much to learn that Ricky Gervais is a dab hand at comic improvisation. Something he reminded us all of with a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Asked by the host to help deliver a couple of promo clips to affiliate NBC news stations, the host gave some cues (“give me your best George Clooney”; “you had a couple of drinks backstage”) for Gervais to use for the skits. Naturally, he went the extra mile.

Flipping the bird for viewers in Fort Worth, Dallas, ‘shooting up’ for Sacramento, Gervais's shock delivery proved the perfect foil to Myers’ cheesy teleprompter talk.

While in the studio, Gervais also gave his two cents on Donald Trump’s ongoing bid for the White House, revealing he would love to trick the billionaire into thinking he’s President. Have a watch of just how that might go below.
