You’re clock-watching every day, your boss is an unrelenting dickhead and you don’t even look forward to talking about Robot Wars with Steve from IT anymore.
You need a new job. You need someone to pay you to build LEGO.
This is obviously an incredibly specific career change pitch, but if you’ve spent more than the occasional Saturday adding to your already-too-big-for-a-two-bed-in-Shoreditch LEGO Star Wars collection, then listen up: LEGOLAND Windsor may potentially be looking to recruit you.
The theme park is on the lookout for a new model designer to take design briefs and turn them into ‘world class LEGO models’. It’s a full time gig with all the usual benefits, as well as a generous 40% discount on company products.
The successful applicant will naturally need to have an unwavering love of the brick, but that’s unfortunately not the only requirement. They ideally want someone with ‘model or product design’ experience, who’s used to working within strict budgets – and to deadline.
A job at LEGOLAND isn’t all fun and games, then, but let’s be honest: it’s not far off.
