Portrait Of Tesla Made Using Electric Sparks

When multimedia artist Phil Hansen met the electrical engineering genius Nikola Tesla, sparks just flew.

Okay, so the pair have never met – Tesla died back in 1943 – but that this hasn't stopped the maverick modern day artist from paying tribute to Tesla by using the same using stuff that made the moustachioed Serbian his fortune.

It took two days of zapping to create the final, brilliant, picture. And if you’re wondering why Hansen’s behind a gas mask, it’s because the wires kept burning together. A risky effort indeed.

Say what you want about modern artists, but this is a man who really likes to keep things current.
